Mary Cathryn Walker September 9, 1927 – February 27, 2020

Mary Cathryn Walker, 92, died Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Craighead Nursing Center.  Born in Moro and a native of Helena, Mary Cathryn was a longtime resident of Jonesboro.  In addition to her membership and leadership of various church, music, art, theatre, and historical organizations, Mary Cathryn also supported educational activities for children.  Known for her culinary prowess, entertainment, elegance and grace, she was well thought of throughout the community.  Her service to God spanned decades at St. Mark's church; along with her willingness to help individuals in need.

Survivors include her children: David (Janice), Bill (Christina), Rosemary (Jim) Sloan; grandchildren: Sarah, Alex, Jennifer, and Kent; great-grandchildren: Sterling, Bridger, Aria, Kerry Chloe and Danny.  And special friend Bob Barnes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G.D. Walker; parents, W.E. and Mary McElduff, brothers: Orman, Kenneth, Alton, and John McElduff, and grandson, Andrew Walker.
